Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based healthcare model where patients pay a fixed, recurring fee directly to their primary care provider, bypassing traditional insurance billing. This arrangement allows for more personalized, accessible, and flexible healthcare.

You can expect shorter wait times, un-rushed appointments, office visits (or tech-visits) when you need them: either same day or next day appointments. We intentional keep our panel size smaller than typical insurance-based practices in order to offer timely appointments. You will have direct communication with your doctor through secure messaging, emails, and phone calls.
You can expect transparent pricing upfront without surprise bills that come in the mail.

It is still recommended to have insurance for surgeries, hospitalizations, emergencies, etc. Members can chose to have lab work or imaging studies run through their insurance when services are performed outside of Deeper Roots Health Clinic. One way to save money is to opt for a high deductible insurance plan along with your DPC membership. Many members in a DPC practice also choose coverage through cost-sharing health plans instead of traditional insurance, such as Christian Health Ministries or Sedera.
Please note: membership with a DPC does not count as health insurance under the Affordable Care Act

Given our rural location in Lakin, however, some of these cash-priced imaging services may require some travel. Of course, members may chose to obtain labs and imaging through their insurance, as well.
